Every top is made individually, so the grain, the figure and the line the resin takes change from desk to desk and none of them matches the photography exactly. Resin River: Our Desky River wooden desks starts with the hardwood. Hardwoods like Pheasantwood, Ash, and Walnut are often used for this type of desk because they are relatively easy to work with and can be manipulated into any shape you desire. The next step is to add the resin. The resin helps to bind the hardwood pieces together and create a seamless, solid surface. Resin is also great for giving the desk a unique look and river like appearance.
Precision Slots: Desky is proactively avoiding even the tiniest risk of warpage with the help of precision cut slots, and our leading 25mm desktop thickness. The slots are precisely cut gaps using CNC technology that are embedded to the underside of table surfaces. These spacers offer the desk adequate flexibility and space to expand and contract organically without putting other portions of the table top under stress.
Threaded Inserts: Desky Desktop Inserts are designed and placed on our desktops with precision engineering to ensure optimal longevity. These machined threads enable precise tabletop installation on the frame, as well as the ability to build and disassemble your Desky as needed. This will ensure that your tabletop lasts a lifetime.
Desky’s wooden desktop range contains no Formaldehyde resin in the manufacturing process. Meaning your home and office will be safe from any harmful chemicals.
Our desktops are air dried, coated with a single-pack lacquer and then air-cured before being packaged up. This process protects the beautiful natural finish of the wood, enhances its natural grains and tones and ensures there are no volatile organic compounds once finalised.

Our solid wood desktops are built to last and will actually harden over time. While they can get scratches and dents, many people feel this simply adds character. As the wood ages naturally, its colour may also shift, becoming slightly lighter or darker. Each desktop is finished with a smooth, durable polyurethane coating for protection.
Our Hardwood desktops are made from 100% solid wood with resin river effects that are built to last. The desktop is thicker than most desktops at 1" and there are metal support braces within the desktop itself to help prevent sagging under load and at longer lengths.
No, unfortunately our Hardwood desktop range is only available in select sizes and a rectangular shape, but we do have specific desktops available with Ergo Edges in a number of colours and finishes.
Yes, we offer this frame in 4 colours: white, matte black, space grey, and grey.
All of our Pheasantwood desktops have a unique front and back 'Live' edge. This means that no two desktops are the same and each edge will have the characteristic undulations of the natural shape of the timber slab it was cut from.

Yes, our Hardwood desktops come with pre-drilled holes for easy assembly of the desktop to your desk frame. You do not need a power drill or tools, just a Phillips head screwdriver and the included hex keys.
Yes, we offer the same desk frames that we use for all of our height adjustable sit stand desks as frames only so you can use an existing desktop. This is a great option for existing office spaces that have matching cabinetry and furniture. You can view our Sit Stand Desk Frames here.
Assembly will take as little as 30 minutes and each Hardwood desktop we supply comes with pre-drilled holes to make assembly as quick as possible without needing any power tools. You can do this by yourself but we do recommend having two people to turn the desk over when finished assembly.

Lovely made desk. Really nice design and the wood has a lovely glossy finish.
Bit of a pain in getting it all here. (Bloody courier service was hopeless).
But at the end of the day am still happy with the desk.
The desk and other items all arrived together. All the tools you need are included and it was straightforward to put together. The operation is smooth and all the components are solid and high quality. You can see by all the other review photos that it's a gamble exactly what the desk will look like. I ordered the Pheasantwood Blue River and was hoping for more of the 'dual' toned wood that all the Desky photos and some of the reviewer photos show, but mine is mostly dark wood. It is beautifully finished, though in hindsight I probably should have chosen the teak for a lighter overall look.
This is my third desk from Desky to be used as a guest desk or spare setup when my partner and I had meetings (we didn't want to be in the same room).
Quality: It has a matte look against the light and I personally think it looks gorgeous. It's definitely a centerpiece when friends are over. For whatever my credit is worth: this thing is real wood and damn hard and heavy. For reference, the other two I got were the white laminate and bamboo, both of which I could manage to carry by myself but this one is a different beast. Definitely happy with it.
Customer Service: I actually had a crack in the first one that we ordered and my partner and I weren't satisfied, obviously having spent a lot of money. Desky support was quick, polite, and stood by their product. It was easy to submit a warranty claim and have a replacement shipped.
Overall this is my first "fancy" desk per se from Desky and I am satisfied with the purchase.
